I was one of the nominees running for the post as head prefect(logo was mickey mouse). I thought it was going to be a really fun experience.. On the campaigning days, we(me and 2 other friends) got to miss lessons to prepare for the campaigning. The souvenirs we were giving out were : some furry toy thing with my sticker pasted on it, ice cream sticks, mickey mouse paper clip, mickey mouse straw, pencils,some new water bottles ( father got it frm the place) and STICKERS!
The first day Tuesday: (P1,P2,P4- first recess) a handful of people came and slowly, the numbers increased.. many actually wanted the furry thing.. ahaha but i didnt really have many of them.. ( P3,P5,P6 - second recess) Whoa, this time, so many of them came! I guess they were mainly the netballers, P6Faith, Badminton girls, trackers, P5 netballers.. and many other friends.. It was really fun! we gave out souvenirs and souvenirs.. all my friends also helped me give out.. the bell rang and it was time to get back to class...
2nd day wednesday : (P1,P2,P4) many faces were the same but a few were new.. (P3,P5,P6) before they came down, we already heard there stomps running to the place where i campaigne.. 1 of my campaigners said ,: oh o, stampede!. haha we laughed and whoa she was right.. the place was so crowded, and i was standing on a chair.. every body wanted so i threw the stuff all around and thay were like screaming.
3rd day thursday (P1,P2,P3,P4,P5,P6): it was the long recess and most caotic 1. I made them line up to get the things and this girl,keeps queing and queing. I asked her how many stickers she got and she said 100+!!!! OMG ! I was like whoa.. I think she took the most!She even made her own booklet and it was full of my souvenirs.. She was like standing beside me and i asked my friend to take over me. I asked the girl whether she wanted my poster ( i got extra) because like, nothing else to give her, cause she collected almost all my stuff! So she willingly said yes. and when i took it out, she asked me to sign on it.. At that moment, i thought she was crazy.. But it was quite cute of her.. then when those surronding saw, the were like : I WANT! I WANT!. I had no choice and so gave them .. took out poster, sign. take out poster again, sign..until all my poasters ran out..
ALL MY SOUVENIRS RAN OUT! my friends were so great and even their hands were pain, they scribbled my name on the stickers.. Finally, recess was over. I gave a sigh of relief!
Friday was polling day.
Monday.. RESULTS! ms choo announced, grace ho and gen chia got asst head prefect. I was like : phew.. But when she announced my name as the head prefect, i was like OMG! OMG OMG!I coudnt believe I was elected as the head prefect! All my friends hugged me and congratulated me..
It is really stressful as the head prefect, as 1 month has passed. I hope I would be able to handle netball, psle, and duties of head prefect!
